@nft_parker_ Hey David. Nice write up man.
I have been thinking about learning this skill ngl.
A fundamental skill that is required by all the projects so demand will always be there haha.
Would you be so kind to drop a Hi in my DMs ? Wanna chat with you about this.
Dw I'm no scammer haha
What I’ve learned as a Discord Admin 💡
Being a Discord Admin helped me get many new job opportunities and I got to know a lot of project founders which was great to grow my network.
It is something everyone can learn and do if they just take a bit of time to learn the necessary skills. It is actually also a really great start to get the foot in the door into the web3 world.
I actually came into a situation where I had two choices:
1⃣ Stay a Community Manager and let the project I worked for find someone else handling Discord or
2⃣ Seize this opportunity to learn new skills and open up a whole new branch of ways to make it in web 3!
Obviously, I chose option 2!
There was a lot to learn when I just starte to learn about Discord:
❓How to build new Discords from scratch?
❓What are the must-have bots people use in web 3?
❓How to fortify and protect a server from bot attacks?
❓How to craft a nice-looking server with a good user experience?
❓And a ton more stuff!
It was an interesting time, because I became a Discord admin for a huge community of 70k members from one day to the next which was a big challenge.
But it helped me a lot and motivated me to do my best and learn things as quickly as possible.
Knowing how to build Discords is still such a useful skill that I am utilizing to this day. Even as a KOL Manager for Seedify, I could use my skills in Seedify and help them build things into their Discord.
My personal conclusion:
Being a Discord Admin comes with a ton of advantages. And it is something everyone can learn. Most people are too lazy so use this opportunity for yourself and become better than them!
My role as a Discord Admin brought me in close contact with many project founders because I often worked directly with them. And if you're doing a great job, they might give you a shot for another position they need to fill.
I love to be an all-rounder. I know how to be a Mod, a Community Manager, a Discord Admin, Project Manager, Marketer, and KOL Manager. When you help founders build their Discord and you have some great ideas and insights and they know what you are capable of, it’s so much easier to build a long-term working relationship with them.
If you work hard you will have gathered so much expertise in only a few months that will bolster your confidence and expand your network in this space.
I dare you to take the leap!
@swandogs This is getting ridiculous 🤦🏻♂️
From now on.... build alts on all platforms.
I'm actually doing that myself... since my TG was restricted out of nowhere 🤦🏻♂️
I might not have enough capital to buy an OMB @OrdinalMaxiBiz right now, but I have enough patience.
I will work, I will wait, wait for the next bear, buy the bottom, fulfill a smol dream.

People see Art.
I see stories.
In the middle of the night, in each of those rooms lit up with light, someone is doing something that may or may not have an impact on something.
@starplatinum_ 100 for the effort but respectively you should have spend a little more time researching specifically on twitter/X
You would have had a much more interesting story fr.
