Just so everyone is clear, the gripe here is that China is destroying the profits of the western bourgeoisie, because they are forced to make their products cheaper to compete with Chinese competitors.
This is the central argument of 100% of all western economic analysis of China. The more affordable China's products, the more it destroys their monopolies and their profit margins.
As always, the purpose of such propagandists, as well as their "elected" governments, is to make the interests of the bourgeoisie appear like the national interests of their respective countries. It's the first rule of bourgeois economics: What's good for the bourgeoisie is good for the proletariat.
I’m still thinking about the time this photo resurfaced and went viral on TikTok. Caleb commented, “Y’all only think they look like the Stranger Things crew because there is one Black child in the photo.” Even back then, he was fed up with that fandom. 😭
when I see the new starter pokemon they always look 'wrong' at first. Like my brain tells me that they dont look like real pokemon. Even if it's for just a moment. Then something switches in my brain and they start to look real lol. It's strange but happens every time.
This is incredible from AOC. Her criticism in this clip of the Trump admin isn’t that a sovereign head of state was kidnapped and thrown into a prison by a government which has zero legal jurisdiction to do so. The problem she claims is that the Trump administration is also a ‘culprit’ in Maduro’s “antidemocratic” antics because Trump didn’t finish the job by removing the entire government. What an absolute buffoon.
Academia teaches us about humanity and hope, but strictly reinforces that this is all an intellectual exercise, not a set of principles to actually live by.
It is surprising to me that far more academics, scholars, scientists, politicians, tech gurus, spiritual gurus kind hung out with Epstein than Hollywood celebrities. Most of them highly highly educated. It should end this sham that education has any relation with morals.
I get dunking on the liberal parades online but it's also important to be practical.
No Kings is good because it brings out people that don't usually do things and they're looking for direction. Any organizer who is doing projects on the ground sees this as a useful opportunity
The crazy part about this story for me isn't what Jimenez was saying or conspiracy theories about that. It's the fact she disappeared *from police custody*. It's not like she ran off and disappeared. She was arrested and then disappeared into the system without trace. Kafkaesque.
it would be more interesting and beneficial to do a show about sanitation workers, postal workers, wood workers, literally any other people with a real job that actually contributes to the world
