Water is a birthright and NOT a commodity. Water belongs to the earth, to other species, and to future generations. No corporation has the right to control it.
it’s so fucking grim that they announce this pipeline two weeks after people had to evacuate Lytton, BC because of wildfire, which still has not rebuilt after being almost entirely destroyed in 2021, again by wildfire
isnt it crazy how when people feel secure and have their basic needs met they don’t really need to resort to violence to feel secure and meet their basic needs
CBC’s The National last night:
Top story is the government announcing a new oil pipeline from Alberta and how it placated BC
Then a story on the massive heatwave, storms and flooding in Ontario and Quebec
Then a story on huge Manitoba flooding after they also dealt with tornadoes and rain
It’s just so dystopian 🫠
You literally cannot divorce the sentiment of “everyone is getting stupider” from the reality of the ongoing pandemic. We learned very early on that COVID causes brain damage. No one tests or bothers to mask anymore. What did you all think was going to happen lmao
This is the way of the world now. Instead of fixing the underlying issue, they simply punish those who suffer its effects.
Your body must burn to fuel the fires of global capitalism at all costs.
The critical thing to understand about this air conditioning debate is that fossil fuel companies should be held accountable for destroying the planet.
