I believe that if Playstation goes ahead and releases the PS6 next year with a production cost of close to $1,000, it will be their biggest disaster ever. Bigger than the launch of the PS3 and PS Vita.
PS5 still has a stigma of having no games. A $1k+ PS6 isn't going to sell.
Something bleak I don't think people realize is that with games becoming more expensive, the only games available to younger people are going to be free mobage stuff. I don't think people are prepared to see the ramifications of they 10 years later down the line.
It's honestly insane how, for its massive popularity, Demon Slayer has literally no wider cultural impact. No iconic poses or attacks. No timeless characters or moments. It just kinda made a lotta money and will likely fade into obscurity once the movies are done releasing.
