@FearMongrel I think it's more important to make a game that YOU want to play, rather than one that tries to please as many people as possible. I like when an artform feels like it is dripping with its author's soul. P.T. is amazing because it's a game kojima wanted to play.
@ProjectLainn@Minpupunkun To my shame, I haven't read it yet, but is on my to do list now. As for uboa, his sudden appearance makes the room shake violently, and the room also gains eyes everywhere. His trap almost looks like the 7th layer of hell from the Divine Comedy, Violence.
@ProjectLainn@Minpupunkun I 100% believe that kikiyama made this game with some sort of "story" or "lore" in mind, but choose to let it to interpretation. It's like a dream, it is based on something but on what? I cannot blame people, there is a lot of suggestive imagery in this game.
@ProjectLainn@Minpupunkun What I wanted to say is that even though it was approved by kikiyama that doesn't mean its take on uboa is above or more correct that somebody else's. Kikiyama apparently states that there is no particular story (explicit canon).
@ProjectLainn@Minpupunkun It's the writer's interpretation of the story, not kikiyama's. Just because he authorized the light novel that doesn't mean it is kikiyama's canon vision. Same applies with the manga. The novel is basically authorized fan fiction, only the og game is canon.
