Despite all of this, we hope everyone at the convention had a good time. We are sorry for any confusion.

We will continue to provide our Gathering services at Houston Horror Film Fest and are aiming for future Spooky Empire events.

So of course, our team is hurt.

We feel betrayed and used. Like they were only interested in collaborating with us to establish their convention as "The Ghost Face Con" and then toss us to the side after the fact.

A simple declination of our multiple offers would have sufficed.

We wanted to clear some confusion up. The Ghost Face Meet at Spookala this past weekend wasn't run by us.

After organizing and hosting last year's World Record, our messages inquiring about hosting again this year were left on read only for Spookala to cut us out entirely

Everyday some one is commenting that we should change our name to “Spooktampa”. Yes, our name gives homage to Ocala. But can we agree that Spookala as a name would still sound cool if we started in Detroit or anywhere else in the world? Spooktampa sounds awful.
