Inter finally have their RWB. Khalaili is just 21, seems to have all the characteristics Inter are looking for & has been on upward trajectory since his teenager days. So this looks like a good signing, & may end up being one.

But this does not excite me, I have a different perspective here. Give me an Acerbi-style deal over a Khalaili style deal any day. I don't understand this young player fetish, at least not from Inter fans. The way our club is going, we will be in banter era in a few years anyways, once our core is old or sold and/or when Marotta retires. So we got 2-3 years to win more trophies, maybe 4-5 years at best.

Most young & cheap players we sign will flop hard (like Henrique or Diouf or Asllani) and even if they come good, they will make mistakes in the short term and take time to learn & develop. A cheap, experienced player (like Acerbi was when we bought him) comes with guarantees, and may help us win in the short term. That is what we need - maximise this winning era.

Because my friends, make no mistake. Winter is coming.
