Statement from Arla’s parents, after her teen killer was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter last week.
Arla,
Today, we were told that the 15-year-old boy who killed our beautiful 9-year-old niece, Aria, with a single stab wound to the chest is NOT GUILTY of murder or manslaughter.
How is this justice?
What message does this send to society? What does it teach people when a child can lose her life in such a horrific and senseless way, yet nobody is held accountable?
The UK is facing an epidemic of knife crime, and cases like this only leave families wondering what consequences truly exist. Something has to change.
Aria was only 9 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She should be making memories, laughing with her family, growing up and chasing her dreams. Instead, we’ll try live every day with a pain that will never leave us.
Our family has effectively been handed a life sentence. We will carry this grief, heartbreak, and loss for the rest of our lives.
Meanwhile, the person responsible walks free.
We will never stop speaking Aria’s name. We will never stop fighting for justice. And we will never stop loving and missing our beautiful girl.
Rest in peace, Aria. Forever 9 💔
The best propaganda the right has is anything that shows or describes the world that used to exist
We do not, in fact, have to live in a fetid favela jammed full of Haitians eating cats while wearing Cookie Monster pajama pants, washing Doritos dust off their fingers in the Reflecting Pool
That is a policy choice. It is a policy choice that has been made by every generation of leaders in the former Great Powers and the United States since the early 20th century
The old civilization--one that was the result of over a thousand years of refinement that built atop the foundation bequeathed us by the Classical world with Christian and Germanic characteristics--was mortally wounded by the Great War, and what has followed been a long, slow decline as it has drifted away entirely. Now, with Gambians rioting in the streets and Pakistanis flooding across Albion, we're hearing its death rattle
But that needn't be the case. A whole different world used to exist. It could be our world, if only we were to grasp tightly and hold onto that which used to exist, and pull ourselves back toward it while building atop the solid foundation it left
Refinement, excellence, greatness, and ordered liberty must take precedence over equality, egalitarianism, safetyism, and the welfare state
That is the choice we face, and if we wish to be something other than the reeking slum towards which we are hurtling, we must choose the former, and extirpate the latter
