Just watched George R. R. Martin’s newest talk at Oxford. Felt like he is subtly expressing his irritation with the direction of his show.
Ryan Condal and Sarah Hess seem to be making the same mistake D&D did in the later seasons of GOT, and the fans seem to agree with George here.

Aemind defending himself against 4 people jumping him for claiming a dragon with a rock vs Daemon bludgeoning his immobilized + defenseless wife to death with a rock for insulting him
It’s wild how the show treats Daemon but turned Aemond’s Harrenhal story into him getting nearly killed in an embarrassing way at the hands of a Strong. They’re supposed to be narrative equals, but the show only makes one of them look “badass”
The point is, the only way Ryan and Sara can make people like the blacks is by making the greens unredeemable, so instead of giving the greens their compelling moments that make the viewers unsure of who to support they have made tg the "team of rapists" vs " the team of the angels who can do no wrong"
It's disgusting how Ryan and Sara hate and disregard the world that GRRM had created
@BirdmanAnderson@Darkseid241@aemondella Daemons first war in the stepstones, they showed him dodging 1000 arrows and soloing everybody in the triarchy. The never fought a war thing still doesn’t make the show feel unbiased to me
does anyone else feel like this seems weird?! aemond targaryen, who was trained by Cole, acknowledged as a good swordsman, etc., gets a possibly lethal wound by some kid with a butter knife? in the back?
