We were lucky to catch these last night, too cloudy tonight. The camera picked up more color than was visible with the naked eye. Still, an amazing thing to view. Here is what the camera got vs what it looked like for us:

@mushroomJenja I try to keep my photos as true to color as I can, but I’d describe them as pink to brownish-pink if it’s not totally clear in the image.

Nice big flush here. I usually only see one or two, and totally dried up by the time I notice them. (Chlorociboria sp.)

Hard not to spot this Phaeolus schweinitzii in the dead center of the trail... Not great news for whichever pine has become host to it.

Rain has returned! Looks like something snacked on the low-hanging fruiting bodies. I've shared a few Pholiota, but I believe this is my first sighting of P. squarrosa.

I believe this is Phylloporus rhodoxanthus, the Gilled Bolete. I've seen a few of these, but usually not in a terribly nice looking state.

@AK_BridgeLake Would you look at that! Turns out it was helpful, haha. Looks like Leccinum versipelle, flesh showed pinkish red on exposure, turning purplish black. Thanks for the nudge to follow through with the ID😊
