@orangutanluvr67 i read braiding sweetgrass recently and the author talks about how in her culture other living beings such as trees have personhood too, and i think it’s a really beautiful way of perceiving the world.

@orangutanluvr67 i think it’s a good thing. personhood tends to come with increased respect, recognition of one’s role and value in an ecosystem, and reminds us as humans that we aren’t “above” other forms of life.
