@miaumosa Also like the time he flirts with the girls so he can get tasty snacks (fruit) for him and lwj…fake flirting with girls to real flirt with the guy you like…and to do the fake flirting by even more real flirting calling lwj handsome or something…wwx is truly next level
@miaumosa Yes I think about this sometimes! One thing to add in—in the novel it’s really clear that the times he’s flirting with women is because he knows it’s a way to get something he needs, whether it’s potentially useful herbs from Mianmian or information from ladies in the present +
@miaumosa Which is so familiar to me as a femme but we don’t often see men doing it in media because they usually don’t have to. Wwx is at a power disadvantage so much of the time tho, in social dynamics etc, so he knows how to do this, and it’s explicit why he’s doing it in the narration
@danylanzhou Oh wild! Huh. I wonder what’s the deal there. Thanks for the link with all the comparisons! And no worries, not a spoiler, I read the fan tl years ago but just haven’t quite finished the official one yet :p I remember that line even cos it uh… tells you a lot lol

ao3 has been under a lot of pressure lately. more users, more traffic, more reports, more confusion. which is great in one way because fandom is alive and people want stories, but it also means we all need to breathe and remember how the site actually works.
this is for everyone. old readers, new readers, writers, lurkers, people who just discovered fanfiction last week, and people who have been here since dial up.
let us talk about how to exist peacefully on ao3.
@vampy_lvsk @fallingflxwer Mostly commenting this in support, and especially also for perspective for folks who the original comment was talking to. The tag existing is a good thing that makes more safety for people who need it, not less
@vampy_lvsk @fallingflxwer As someone who filters this tag out, I love that it’s a tag! R4pe/noncon is in popular media *all the time* with no care or warning or options to filter it out, and even in queer print romance that’s still true, so I love how fandom+tags make one space that’s safer for me ❤️
@Rosmeihey I do think, as another commenter suggested, that Rosmei should have and be open about naming conventions/consistent style and also have a different timeline for previews/preorders/editing rounds/etc. But I think they actually are paying attention to us? Just stating it indirectly
@Rosmeihey And I think a big thing they want readers to get from this is that the preview is not finalized and the editor will be fixing things up. I work as an editor and you might be surprised how much a manuscript changes from editing? Even from second edits or proofreads? +
@pakhnokh_art Dude regarding your letter that can’t be commented on, it’s not great to represent things as ppl judging you on your past, the issue is that you’re still a Zionist right now. And defending it. Plus you’re using fandom quotes to justify your Zionism, which gives the ick to read.
@haitangbooks It would be helpful on the pre-order pages (and more broadly in general) to know how many volumes each novel is going to be! And if that info is already out there, it’s not super apparent or consistently easy to find cos I haven’t seen it 😅
@572bears @Enmisura@gomanga But you can get the Rosmei physical releases from @yiggybean and they ship all over! Doesn’t help with ebook releases but is a way to get the English releases of Nan Chan and other Rosmei titles
@MDZStarot Hi there! Is there likely to be a second run at any point, or is the PDF up somewhere and I missed it? I have been lamenting missing out on this deck since it came out 😅 the symbolism and layers of meaning in the cards are really special (๑>ᴗ<๑)
@babylouche1 I am weeping internally over this thread, thank you. It also helps me arrange my thoughts on some things I’ve been poking around lately, so double thank you 🙏🏽
@ConcernedApe Thank you for the 1.6 console port! I can’t play it yet cos *I* am crashed (I have severe ME/CFS and am in a crash right now) but I’ve been waiting all year which has been a joy itself—having things to look forward to when I’m severely chronically ill really helps, so thank you💕
