It's been a minute since our Republic Day Book Reading Picnic at our park here at the #GhanaOpenParkLibrary.
We hosted the team from @nodeeight, they came through with books, mats, and big energy, turning a our space into a place for reading, connection, and possibility.

Our #GiveToGain Sharing Circle with @nodewomengh was more than a workshop; it helped us grow together.
From bead making and shoe production to soap making and content creation, our women didn't just teach; they exchanged value.

This long weekend, we’re inviting you to make the Ghana Open Park Library your home away from home.
Bring a mat, bring your squad, and bring your snacks -some coke and popcorn would hit the spot for a picnic vibe!
Let’s celebrate #Easter in the park. See you at the park!

@jeffwellz Not every parent can afford boxes of books, but every child should have access. We're creating a free outdoor reading space where kids can discover that love of reading.
You can support with as little as 10 GHC!

@Nana_kesse1 We shouldn't have to rely on crumbling infrastructure when communities can build their own reading spaces.
Ghana's First Open Park Library is being built right here in Ho - a free outdoor reading space that brings libraries back to the people.

In many towns across Ghana, libraries are rare and public reading spaces are almost non-existent. Yet access to books shouldn’t be a privilege.
That’s why we’re building Ghana’s first Open Park Library, a space where anyone can pick a book in English, Ewe, or French and read

Last Saturday, 29th November, we hosted the NodeX Makerthon under the theme ReMaking Spaces – Turning Waste into Art and Function. The event brought together over 60 young people for a hands-on design thinking and DIY eco-innovation challenge to co-create installations

for the @ghparklibrary, Ho.
In partnership with Wasteman Ghana, participants used waste materials sourced from the community, including plastics, cans, tyres, and scrap items. They repurposed these into functional and artistic prototypes such as benches, planters, murals,

and upcycled installations.
The Makerthon gave adolescents an opportunity to co-create a public space designed for them. Through design thinking, they turned waste into practical solutions and expressive art, making the library environment more vibrant and welcoming.

Their teamwork and creativity highlighted the power of youth leadership. From turning plastic bottles into planters, to making seats from old car tyres, to painting bold artworks and remixing plastic tops into playful installations, the young creators transformed

waste into statements of identity and belonging. Every piece they built reflected their aspirations and the way they envision their community space.

Day 4 of our peer-learning exchange under the Healthy Cities for Adolescents (HCA) programme, our visitors from @FortpourFutur joined us for the Node X Makerthon – ReMaking Spaces Edition, and a final moment of goodbyes.
During the Makerthon, they observed young people

Shots fired ....When the quest for 'modernity' leads to forgetting one's own authentic self.
This passage from The Blinkards by Kobina Sekyi speaks volumes about cultural assimilation & the search for identity.
