GMHS 53 celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with a tree plantation drive led by Headmistress Mrs. Suman Jaiswal. Ayurvedic expert Dr. Jitendra Kumar Jaiswal educated students on medicinal plants. The students planted these saplings and pledged to nurture them.

Today on 22 April 2026, Earth day was celebrated in GMHS-53, Chandigarh with immense enthusiasm. Various activities was conducted including lecture on earth day, poem and skit was performed by students. Slogan and poster was also made by students from class 6 to 10 on Earth day

National Science Day was celebrated at GMHS 53, Chd with a lecture by Mr. Kapil Mohan Sood and Ms. Rupinder Kaur, under the guidance of Headmistress, Mrs. Suman Jaiswal. The event also featured posters and a science exhibition by students.

Janjatiya Gaurav Divas was concluded today at GMHS 53 in the form of Reflection and Presentation Day which was conducted for 40 students of Class 6th. It included a special assembly and the Screening of an NCERT documentary on tribal icon Birsa Munda.

A special assembly was conducted at GMHS 53 on Birsa Munda Jayanti. The programme included a floral tribute, thought, teacher and student speeches, tribal dance, poem and a nukkad natak on his life. The assembly ended with a brief summary and a pledge.

GMHS 53 celebrated 75th Foundation Day of Bharat Scouts & Guides with great enthusiasm. The morning assembly included an introduction to Scouts & Guides, their laws, promise, duties, and motto. The students also sang the Flag Song together.
