Realising that even if Ghost are nominated for a Grammy in 2026 they are too busy in the Toronto/Ohio area the day before and after. No red carpet likely.
Get involved in your communities, get involved into politics, into who is in charge of your future, look what is happening around and maybe for once stop using the privilege of escapism and actually contribute to change. Then you can bitch about ticket prices ✌️
Yes, we are seeing what used to be an accessible commodity become unaffordable luxury. WHY? Have you seen the state of the world recently? This has nothing to do with someone as insignificant as Ghost/Tobias Forge, but has everything to do with what has been happening for YEARS.
What is absolutely frying me rn is everyone looking at Ghost ticket prices like its some isolated freak accident immune to the real world. Look around yourself, you are being priced out of your cities, owning your homes, decent access to food and medical care.
Adding onto this it’s potentially some legal wording just to keep it very “not one rule for one and not another” incase anyone was to somehow sue Yondr. I wouldn’t worry about it all too much.
Ghost are one of Yondrs tester clients for concerts and tours this scale. You know it’s likely that they have been observing and update their t&c’s documents to submit to promoters.
I've just found something interesting about this too but I can't say if its the case now. Back in 2013, Tobias got an advance from Global in order to guarantee wages for the Ghouls and crew. He would then have to pay this back 🧵
So, let’s tackle the latest. This isn’t a post based on my opinion, just unfortunately not everyone gets the same legal training from art school as others so this is just to help inform and educate a bit more as to how this is all happening.
TLDR: Global gives Tobias money before selling t-shirts. Tobias pays all his staff, they can all eat. Now Tobias has to make sure he sells enough shirts to pay back Global, but only he is responsible, only he will go hungry if he doesn't. Staff are protected.
