Am looking for the person who started this narrative that “children in international schools” are indisciplined, mbu they end up on drugs mbu they are wasted. Who brought this lame narrative??

I have been dealing with children specially boys for the last 15 yrs and I can assure you , children from these international schools are more disciplined than the so called traditional schools. What you confuse as discipline from these traditional schools is mostly timidness and lack of self-esteem.

From an international school a child will speak and ask questions but respectfully, from our normal schools a child won’t even speak. He will not ask any question. Not because he’s disciplined but because he lacks that confidence.

“Not speaking” or expressing thyself is not discipline. It’s kwetya.

When it comes to these drugs you keep talking abt, I have had more students brought to our Correction Program in Kalangala from national schools than international. Enjaga nyiinji nnyo in our national schools compared to international. Its only money that limits them

The idea that international schools produce less disciplined students is for people who can’t afford their fees. Kati nemubeela awo nga mwekubagiza.

Look at it this way: An average class at Kabira International might have only 20 students. Yet the same class at Buganda Road has 70 students. In your simple thinking which class will have more attention from teachers and real learning happening ?

Tuve munjogera y’ekyaavu. A child can be spoiled and indisciplined from anywhere as long as they don’t have a proper upbringing from home. National or International. But when it closes to schools, if u can’t afford those high fees don’t lie to yourself that your child who’s in Seeta with a class of 130 students - stream will be more disciplined than a child at Heritage International a class of 16.

In some of these national schools a teacher will not even know the students in his class because the number is too huge. How will they even follow up on each students character with such a number. Let’s reason together!!
