🚨 NEW: Fox’s Bret Baier just gave an uplifting history lesson on healing America’s divides: “You think campaigns are bad now? This was the ugliest of ugly campaigns: Vice President Thomas Jefferson challenged the sitting President John Adams in 1800. They didn’t talk to each other for 11 years after that.”
“But in 1812 they started writing letters to each other and by the time they died - both on July 4th - they became really close friends. My point is this: the common ground we have as Americans is something we need to rekindle. We need to remember to talk to each other before we do crazy things and make stupid statements. Listen to each other.”
“As we get towards the 250th, take a breath and realize how great we have it,” adds @BretBaier
The breaking reports of the safe rescue of the F-15 WSO are a profound relief to every American. God Bless this brave servicemember who evaded capture in the most challenging circumstances and God Bless the special operations forces who put their lives on the line for this dangerous rescue mission.
It is a deeply engrained patriotic value that Americans will to go to the ends of the earth (and beyond!) and do whatever it takes including risking it all to bring their fellow Americans home.
Happy Easter, indeed. ✝️

This is so wholesome.
48 years ago today, on the last ever Carol Burnett Show, Tim Conway surprised Carol with her idol, Jimmy Stewart.
Her reaction transforms her into a kid again.
This weekend it is important we all take a moment to honor the 13 brave American service members we’ve lost.
May we keep their families in our prayers, asking that God bring them comfort and peace during such a heartbreaking loss. We also pray for the wounded, that they make a full and speedy recovery, and for the men and women still deployed—that God watches over them and brings them home safely to their loved ones. 🇺🇸
I extend my deepest condolences to the families of these six selfless and heroic servicemembers.
The very best of our nation.
Their service is the indelible legacy of the American military: the global force for good, democracy and freedom.
