Durante la partita di Europa League tra FK Crvena Zvezda (Stella Rossa di Belgrado) e LOSC Lille del 26 febbraio 2026 allo stadio Rajko Mitić, i tifosi ultras (gruppo Delije Sever) hanno realizzato una grande coreografia (tifo) nella curva nord: un enorme mosaico con un’icona ortodossa raffigurante Gesù Cristo (o San Simeone il Mirrobita, a seconda delle interpretazioni, legata alla data della festa) e uno striscione in serbo con la scritta «Neka vas naša vera vodi do pobede» («Che la nostra fede vi conduca alla vittoria!»).

Il 25 marzo 2026, l’organo disciplinare della UEFA (Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body) ha multato il club per un totale di €95.500, di cui €40.000 specificamente per questa coreografia. La motivazione ufficiale UEFA è stata:

- «Trasmettere un messaggio non idoneo a un evento sportivo» («displaying a message deemed inappropriate for a sporting event»);
- «Aver recato discredito al calcio e alla UEFA stessa» («bringing the sport of football and UEFA in particular into disrepute»).

Le altre sanzioni (per un totale di circa €55.500) riguardavano fuochi d’artificio (€17.000), lancio di oggetti (€10.500) e blocco di passaggi (€28.000).

La notizia è stata riportata da numerose fonti (siti serbi, greci, cristiani e account sui social) suscitando polemiche, con accuse di incoerenza (molti fanno notare che la UEFA tollera o promuove altri tipi di messaggi ideologici o di “inclusione” in altre occasioni).
