@vvildside I've scared myself into suspecting it's an epidural hematoma caused in episode 1, and they're gonna kill him off at the end of the season π°π°
@UnemployedToast It happens in the first episode and he downplays it. He develops signs of a headache/sickness later on until the last episode when the epidural hematoma hits π
@Girl_hick Also there's a difference between bias born of ignorance and straight-up hostility. We shouldn't have to deliver a persuasive essay on why bullying is bad every single time. They teach you that in nursery school
@DreadedJai Period of economic hardship historically coincide with a rise in fascist ideals, plus there was a v intense cultural backlash to the "liberal" millennials
@hucklerobbyism Happy for him honestly since he appeared in a mean spirited series of body spray ads in the UK where the joke was that the product made "unattractive" guys irresistible to women
@nabakovienne Sometimes you have to cut scenes you like in order to produce an overall better-structured story...it's a standard part of the writing process and not some inherent evil lol
@grassfay They'll declare themselves no longer an ally, lock their account, then come back 6 weeks later acting like nothing ever happened until the cycle repeats itself
Finally watching the vampire lestat; I can somewhat understand the backlash bc it is a significant tonal shift from ITWTV, but I don't personally think that's a bad thing. It's a different type of show & feels like more of a character study.
@C0BR4H My cousin did this after being forced into anorexia recovery. She switched to a vegan diet for "ethical reasons" and suddenly all authority figures in her life went from opposing her restriction to enabling it. I suffered from ana myself and was the only one who said something
Tangentially I see short trans men despairing of their heights - don't! The only difference between you and a 5ft 3 cis man is that you're not lying about it
@otherbully I think some people just want Louis to be in this perpetual state of victimhood and suffering, and so assign traits to him they see as constructive to that, regardless as to whether these are demonstrated onscreen or not
@Elixirscloset I always notice the deliberate obfuscation re: the people making these criticisms, ie trans POC facing racism within what should be their own communities
@hermanngaylieb I'm imagining how this would look fully formed: fishy lemony jelly with tomato slices on top, shrimp and parsley, then an opaque layer of fishy gelatin cottage cheese dumped on top of limp lettuce leaves and more sliced tomatoes. This recipe was an award winner btw
