Mindset. Toughness. Leadership. Competitiveness. Obsession with the game.

Jaxson Dart is walking around in a brace, limping through the building… and still joking that he’s ready to go. That tells you everything about the kind of competitor he is.

Scouts love throwing around the word “generational” because of arm talent, size or athleticism. But how many QBs are truly wired like this? How many are this obsessed with getting better, leading their team and being THE guy?

That trait is rare — and when you combine it with real talent, it can take you a very long way.

This is way too premature.

Dart was actually starting to look more comfortable operating from the pocket, and ironically, the injury came while he was IN the pocket—not because he was recklessly running around.

He’s shown high football IQ, leadership, toughness and the kind of moxie you can’t teach. His testing backed that up too—he scored very well on QB cognitive testing.

He also played 39 games in 3 years at Ole Miss. So yes, he needs to protect himself better, but the “can’t stay healthy” label is being thrown around way too loosely.

The Giants finally have a young QB worth developing. Talking about replacing him already is exactly how you end up stuck in the same cycle again.

I was at the Rams-Giants game Monday night, and walking out of that stadium I kept thinking about how different this feels.

I’ve been lucky enough to see 2 Lombardi Trophies, but I’ve also watched a LOT more bad Giants football than good.

I watched the Eli era, saw him give us two championships, and then watched years of searching for the next guy. QB after QB. Coach after coach. Every season wondering if we finally found him.

I believe Jaxson Dart is that guy.

It’s not just the arm talent or athletic ability. He has things you can’t teach: moxie, leadership, toughness, confidence, a genuine love for football, and you can tell how much he cares about his teammates and this organization.

Even after hurting his knee, his instinct was to try to get back out there and play. He absolutely needs to learn when to slide, get out of bounds and protect himself, but that moment tells you everything about the competitor he is.

And the idea that Dart has always been injury-prone just isn’t accurate. After his freshman year at USC, he had meniscus surgery. Then at Ole Miss he played 13 games in 2022, 13 in 2023 and 13 in 2024 — 39 games in 3 seasons.

This isn’t a kid who has spent his career unable to stay on the field.

The Giants finally have something worth protecting and building around.

Most importantly, Giants fans need to rally around Dart right now.

This kid gave this franchise and fanbase something we haven’t consistently had in years: HOPE.

I’m not even from New York, and I feel it.

However long the road back is, support him. Believe in him. Let him know Big Blue is behind him.

He gave Giants fans hope. Now it’s our turn to give some of that back.
