Suicide rate is 23% higher in female nurses than women in other occupation. We need to rethink women's mental health and shift our understanding of what causes this... menopause? Being carers? Violence in the workplace? @RCSI_FacNurMid#FNMConf2025@joanneflogers

A lot of emotions after those last 10 days in Paris.
Growing up I never even dreamt of being in the Olympics as a golfer so to become a 2 time Olympian this week was just very surreal.
I really wish I could have gave it a better run this week but I gave it my best and that’s all I can ask for.
Let’s hope I can stick around for another few years at this level and give it a run in 2028 in LA.
Thanks so much to everyone for their support this week, Without doubt the best support I’ve ever gotten outside of ireland 🇮🇪
Now let’s give the rest of @TeamIreland all the support they deserve for the rest of the games 💚🤍💛
It might not have been the finish that Megan Armitage hoped for, but what a performance and what an Olympic debut at @Paris2024!
We are so proud ☘️☘️

13 years ago since I won my category at BT Young Scientist. 13 years on and I was only thinking about this project recently when I was thinking about ICU induced delirium in work. Who knew a wild concept would stick with me into my 30s 😂
🗣 "I got a head start...and won the race by a lap!"
@Annalise_Murphy speaks about how the sport of cycling offers her an escape from the high-pressured environment of Olympic sailing.
🗣 "It has been great to have a different sport to throw myself into."

My phone was once grabbed by a yob on Liffey St and I unwisely gave chase. Turns out I was accompanied by a Pole, who was faster than me, and the assailant ended up in the iron grip of a bus driver from Ghana who shook him until he released my phone. I love Dublin.
"A Watch" have finished night duty and thankfully all our Firefighter/paramedics got to go home safe with no injuries reported.
A fire engine windscreen was damaged in the city centre. It was replaced by a spare appliance and the crew were able to resume their duties.
Deliveroo dirver Caio Benicio was on his motorbike this afternoon when he saw a man with a knife attacking a young girl in Parnell Square.
The 43-year-old Brazilian dismounted his bike, took off his helmet, and hit the attacker with it.

We're working closely with our partner emergency services throughout the city tonight.
I feel so terrible for anyone in Ireland tonight who feels unsafe to leave their home. I absolutely loath the openly racist commentary I am reading tonight. Disgusting.
Can we try find the Brazilian deliveroo driver who jumped to disarm the attacker who assaulted the 5 people in Parnell square eariler today. He deserves so much! #DublinRiots
Thinking of my friends and colleagues on the front line tonight in #Dublin. I cannot believe what I’m seeing tonight. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable behaviour.
