🚨 A professional punter’s turnover on Australian racing has fallen 80%.
Now imagine what a 10% drop in prizemoney would mean for owners, trainers, breeders and jockeys.
Racing must start listening to its No.1 customer: the punter 👇

To put this into context.
5000 dogs are killed each year in road accidents.
2500 dogs dies each year from non road incidents, like accidents whilst running or fighting.
The RSPCA euthanises 8000 dogs and cats each year because they can’t find a home.
290,000 dairy cows are slaughtered each year because they have outlived their usefulness and 310,000 unwanted male bobby calves are slaughtered each year because they can’t lactate.
@Mattunchained@allovertheform@PeterLawrence18@J_Walter23 Hong kong racing the closest thing to a draft and salary cap, all competing for the same horses that are brought over by owners, have a a cap on stables, very competitive and only the best trainers survive, and its getting better and better every year
It’s the 7th last ever Moonee Valley meeting tomorrow before the tractors come in and rip up Cox Plate history forever for a real estate cash grab
My 4 and a bit minutes about it 👎👇
@Mattunchained@RacenetTweets He will get away scott free and with plenty of cash, the day of reckoning will come to racing nsw unfortunately which will be left in rubble due to his irresponsible management
So MRC have so far built…..
-inside track no one wanted.
-Office building no one needs.
-A mounting yard that’s not fit for purpose.
-Horse stalls that look great but aren’t great.
A pattern????
@KosSamaras@rohan_connolly The city has become a shit hole filled with junkie lunatics and is the most dirty and vandalised of all the capital cities in Aus. Thriving multiculturalism has nothing to do with those problems.
