@blake_shinn Been saying this for years, horses in Australia go up in the ratings very quickly but takes multiple poor runs for ratings to track south. The HK system is vastly superior, horses can move south in ratings much faster (& theoretically become competitive again)
There's a huge story with the latest radio ratings
Sydney (just 4.3% overall) and Melbourne (3.9% ๐) united in turning off the ABC in absolute droves
They should get Nasser Mashni on air more ๐
And these out of touch bozos are striking for more money?
@PeterLawrence18@Page1991Adam Anamoe an exception - we got to see him post his 3 yr old season & he kept getting better with age. Perhaps Godolphin thinks the best of Observer (who was exposed in 2 Sydney runs) and Tentyris is behind them. Unlike the Japanese our big breeders seemingly unwilling to race on

"That is what informed analysis looks like. And yet it is the type of commentary racing too often avoids."

@CaroSearcc Slipper day is a cracker Caro, I love the day, always have and this is not Melbourne v Sydney. The punters/crowd just werenโt there like they used to be.
Golden Slipper day - a once great raceday now a shadow of its former self. No one there today, despite what the ATC might say. All marketing $โs clearly spent on the Championships. Well done Jmac, the best Iโve ever seen ๐ฏ
@Mattunchained The quality of horse running today was exceptional, itโs a great grp1 day - reality is no one attends. Nothing to do with Melbourne v Sydney
@domran Ninja died on his run last 100m, was never going to be upheld given margin. Needed to be inside a neck margin for any chance of upheld. And I said this immediately after the horses hit the line.
