One of the saddest things about corruption, is that it destroys the future of citizens, so that thieves of public funds can live out their wildest fantasies.

Think for example about what is happening today in our country.

Recently, @WilliamsRuto - who has never met a thief of public funds he couldn’t work with, awarded a convicted fraudster a contract for USD 2.9 billion. The conman from Zimbabwe who pretty much lives in @StateHouseKenya

USD 2.9 billion.

Knowing that the recipient is a criminal.

Take a look at what the proceeds of corruption harvested across Africa is being used for.

Luxury watches. Donations to corrupt politicians.

Luxury vehicles. Donated to ‘churches’ in the name of philanthropy.

The contract that this fraudster obtained was initially awarded to the hopelessly corrupt Adani Group - which is co corrupt that the owner was recently indicted for corruption in the US. The initial contract was for USD 1.9 billion.

When Kenyans protested, the contract was cancelled, only for the government to turn around and awarded the contract to the poster boy for massive corruption across Africa.

And the new price? USD 2.9 billion.

When a USD 2.9 billion contract is inflated by billions and awarded to criminal associates of corrupt politicians, in a country that today is spending over 80% all revenue on debt service, an entire generation of citizens are written off.

Because the money that was supposed to serve them has been stolen through corruption.

So that criminals and their friends in government can live out their wildest imaginations.

Political goons now operate like workers in a twisted gig economy. They have recruiters, meeting points, payment rates and specific assignments, except their work is to spread fear and destroy public order.

George was on Friday evening attacked by his 24 year old wife identified as Sheila,

Who stabbed him on the neck before running away.

George succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning at St Paul's Mission Hospital in Homabay.
