While yes, the main plot of Barbie is very feminism 101, we forget that Ken's entire arch and the fate of the Kens is to rebuild masculinity outside of patriarchy, to find their own identity after doing harm. I don't think that's exactly a basic take nowadays.

I'm reading an article about the true authenticity of Italian food and how all of it is constructed tradition and I feel like it's relatable in a very odd way.

Perhaps it's that Italy as a nation had to forge their own identity as Italians, just like I have to do already later in life.
