Her father had already left, and when I asked where she had been all day, she casually said she went to collect a textbook from a friend. Whether that story is true or not, only heaven knows, but now I'm the one waiting for tomorrow morning like a suspect in a crime I didn't commit. 😭😭😭

My neighbor's dad is a pastor, and while traveling from Ondo to Ibadan, he decided to branch into Osun to surprise his daughter at her hostel. When he arrived, he met her roommate and asked where she was. The roommate, not wanting to reveal the truth—or maybe just trying to avoid questions—told him she had only stepped out to get something and would be back soon. The problem was that she left without her phone, so there was no way to contact her. Five minutes turned into one hour, one hour turned into six, and the poor man was still sitting there waiting, growing more worried by the minute.
