#PendapatPalatao Walaupun aku bukan pakar IT pakar ekonomi macam hangpa, rasa syok juga komen pasal DNS rerouting ni.

Dari media statement MCMC yang diterbitkan oleh Bernama, ni yang aku faham. Kalau salah tolong betulkan.

1. MCMC banyak dapat aduan laman scam, lucah, judi online segala macam.

2. MCMC block laman laman ni dari diakses rakyat Malaysia.

3. Tapi ada dalang yang bypass blocking ni dengan menggunakan DNS alternatif. Depa masih boleh akses segala laman jenayah tadi.

4. Jadi Internet Service Provider (ISP) diarah ‘reroute’ trafik internet yang guna DNS alternatif ini kembali menggunakan DNS yang ditetapkan oleh ISP.

5. Maknanya, sekarang dah takleh akses laman yang memang kena ban dengan MCMC walaupun guna DNS alternatif.

Now…

6. DNS rerouting ni sepatutnya tak affect laman web suci murni yang takder elemen jenayah. Masih boleh akses seperti biasa.

7. Kalaupun ada laman yang tetiba takleh akses, boleh laporkan pada ISP masing masing.

8. Kalau drama Korea kat Netflix tetiba lagging, tu pun sepatutnya tak berlaku walaupun ada DNS rerouting. Jika masalah speed ni masih ada, komplen kat telco yang hangpa subscribe.

9. MCMC kata setakat ni takder aduan mengenai laman suci murni yang tetiba takleh akses. Kalau ada, boleh la report kat ISP atau kat MCMC sendiri.

10. I believe @fahmi_fadzil is doing the right thing untuk regulate anasir jenayah online yang sekarang boleh diakses rakyat Malaysia. Tak aku tak bodek. Ni observation neutral sebagai palatao yang dah lebih 10 tahun connected one way or another dengan Putrajaya.

Umno is not helping the Prime Minister

The move to attract non-Malays into the civil service is welcomed news. We should have done this much earlier. The government must be serious about this plan.

Unfortunately, Umno is against it. Why? If the Chinese and the Indians are interested in joining the service ( and that’s a big if), it will make the civil service more efficient. The nation's productivity will increase, and that will attract real investments.

The inclusion of non-Malays in the service will bring about a more competitive environment. A new work culture will emerge to replace the years of Malay-only work habits. The coffee breaks will be shorter, and the early departure to pick up the children from school will be better organised. There will be an overall improvement in the delivery system. It may help to reduce corruption. It can help in forging better friendships among communities

But Umno is not doing enough to spur change in the Madani government. They are still talking about issues of yesteryears. They are still fearful of the Chinese. Or are they afraid of finding out what they are made of?

Let me say this. The Chinese and the Indians are, by and large, self-sufficient. They don’t depend too much on govt cash handouts, govt schools, universities or GLCs. Economically, they are strong. The number one economic Superpower is China, and India is a close third. In other words, the ethnic non-Malays feel secure in the region. They really don’t depend on Bumiputras

It’s us, the Malays who need the help of the more hardworking and independent-minded Chinese / Indians to spur change and move the country forward. We need the non-Malays to be involved and participate in the workings of the government at all levels.

Umno must remove the blinkers and see the world for what it is. We have been left behind despite all the so-called privileges, so the country must change. The values must change. Let’s start with the civil service
