You know youโve lost the plot when you make light of the situation thinking itโs only a social media and events venues issue but the victims of harassment sanctioned by the blatant disregard for the weight your words and silence carry are kids on foot, motor bikes and bus parks.
โAs young people, we need you. We love you. But first and foremost, take care of yourselves.
This religion of alcohol, I think people even recruit others into it. Alcohol is killing you. Itโs killing young people. The older ones are already gone. It has killed so many older people like us. Others are already on that same path and seem unable to stop.
But I want to warn you and beg you: everything we have been talking about, what brought you here, and the plans we have for our country, this thing will kill you before you realise your ambitions.โ President Kagame |#MeetThePresident Indangamirwa 16th Cohort
@CanalboxR Your internet is the absolute worst. "Issues" for weeks. Every time I call... "We are having a general issue". You general issues has been weeks and weeks. At this point, you have over saturated your network and blame others. At this point it's corporate theft.
I still call upon @Rwanda_Edu and @RwandaYouthArts to look into the situation at Ecole dโArt de Nyundo.
It is deeply concerning to see that the school is no longer producing the same level of excellence as before. Many young students pursuing their studies there are not receiving the strong artistic training that was evident just five years ago.
When I speak with them, they consistently mention a lack of practical work. This gap in hands-on experience is weakening their development and, ultimately, affecting the future of visual arts in Rwanda.
Let us not forget: this is the only art school in the country.
Something needs to be done.

Art is not a product.
Itโs a dialogue. A way of being in conversation with the world.
Thatโs what we reflected on during the Cultural Diplomacy Unconference - how Ubumuntu started as a circle of students and became a meeting point for global voices.
The performances begin today. The conversations continue. Join us at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Amphitheatre.

What Belgium regrets is their inability to bring Rwanda into submission, despite countless threats and sanctions.
This is not the result of a disagreement, it is the consequences of decades of protecting genocidaires, promoting genocide deniers to political position, constant diplomatic sabotage, all in the continuous quest to return Rwanda to 30 years ago.
It is not dialogue you seek, it is obedience. The kind you are getting from DRC, whose people you claim to speak for, while exploiting them for the last century.
In the words of President Kagame:
We ask you: โWho are you? Who put you in charge of us? With the limited means we have, we will stand up to you. After all these years we have spent fighting to build our country, we want to be Rwandans, we do not want to be Belgians.โ
