📍El canciller nacional Rubén Ramírez Lezcano declinaría en las próximas horas su candidatura a la Secretaria General de la OEA, tras el comunicado oficial de las repúblicas de Ecuador, Dominicana y Costa Rica, mediante el cual se adhieren al voto por el otro candidato, el canciller de Surinam Alberto Randim.

📍Estos tres países se suman a Brasil, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia y Bolivia, que ayer se expresaron en el mismo sentido. Para ser electo, se necesitan 18 votos, y se descuenta que la mayor parte de la comunidad del Caribe, también apoyarán a Surinam.

His Excellency Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, Secretary-General of the OACPS and a group of OACPS Ambassadors on Friday visited Umicore’s Hoboken facility. The purpose of the visit was to be informed of the company’s electronic waste recycling systems. These advanced recycling methods offer the potential to promote circular economy and enhance sustainable development in partner countries. Officials from DG ENVIRONMENT also attended and presented new EU policy initiatives on waste management.
