@AmyWinchell Gilbert's North Water Treatment Plant is also undergoing a large reconstruction and expansion. The design includes granular activated carbon filters, which effectively removes PFAS.

@AmyWinchell Hi Amy - Our water professionals actively monitor and test for the presence of PFAS in our water.

If compounds are detected, our team can take the affected well sites temporarily offline to investigate and still meet the water system’s demand.
