@soniasodha I agree that people do things, make mistakes. The issue I have is more her attempt to misrepresent it. The offence requires dishonesty and she pleaded guilty to it, meaning she accepted she had been dishonest at the time. That’s not what she now says about it.
@KarlTurnerMP@DavidLammy That’s not true. grayling far, far worse. Massive cuts to all parts of the system. Half of all courts shut. Privatisation of probation. I know you don’t like the proposals for reducing jury trials but you have lost all perspective on this.
@WRN_Manchester@UKLabour@ManCityCouncil It’s a very frustrating, disingenuous answer from Bev. No one is suggesting we should pit minority against minority (although women are the majority of course). What we don’t need is empty sloganeering and more confusion about the law. And she has played her part in that.
@Richie_Jackson@nytimes It’s not disturbing. I don’t agree with a lot of it but many in our community do but are be too afraid to say so. We are not a monolith. We could do with a lot more self-reflection.
Still fascinated by the ongoing "Andy Burnham has to spend more time in the Westminster bubble!!!!" narrative from some of these people who normally spend every waking hour screaming the opposite...
@KarlTurnerMP@bbclaurak@LucyMPowell@UKLabour It’s quite wrong if there was briefing of that type. What I would say tho is that your posts were so over the top, so incessant and so unwilling to engage with Leveson’s report - they tended to be v personal about Lammy etc - that you didn’t really help yourself.
Stubshaw Cross Club was kind enough to provide our by-election campaign HQ. We all loved being with them and saw how embedded they are at the heart of the community. Today I returned with something to show our appreciation from everyone on the campaign. 🙏🏻
@UKBrit123@DannyShawNews They’ve recruited a load of judges….to sit in the Crown Court bench division - or replace the judges that were meant to - and bring down the backlog. What a waste if it’s cancelled 🤷♀️
