I’m not going to amplify Reform’s ad by sharing it, but the wilful misrepresentation of Kemi Badenoch - selectively quoting what she said about ‘white lives matter’ - is disgraceful and dangerous.
It needs to be challenged, including by those of us who are not Conservatives.
This is an important, difficult read that needs to be read with open mind. One thing that jumped out at me is weight given to non-survivable injury. Something my work has taught me is that families care deeply about the manner in which their “inevitably dying” person is tended…
“We will end up seeing more division”
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says she is disappointed by Nigel Farage "wading in" with his "pure cold rage" comments in response to the treatment of Henry Nowak.

Henry Nowak was brutally murdered in a senseless act of violence by Vickrum Digwa.
The Sikh community stands with Henry's family and friends as they come to terms with his loss.
We share the grief, shock and anger at his murder and stand with his family in the pursuit of truth and justice.
We urge people to not allow the actions of this one murderer to divide communities and fuel hostility towards innocent people.
"White, black, whatever religion, we are one culture."
Former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith praises Kemi Badenoch's response to Henry Nowak's death, pitting it against Nigel Farage's statement, which he said appeared to ‘stir things up rather than calm them down’.
Kemi is showing true leadership here. We don't want divisions, or more riots, or Reform. We need unity and common values.
We've had amplified divisions that Reform are gaining from. We need strong leaders regardless of their political party.
The Henry Nowak footage is truly disturbing and distressing. There are immediate questions about the grotesque actions of the police. And wider questions about training, race/antiracism etc. As this is no place for a proper, nuanced discussion, I may write a longer piece on this.
Kemi Badenoch impressed me in her GMB interview. That is the minimum level of conviction, compassion and moral seriousness that I expect from a leader. If she can create a moral atmosphere in the party that reflect this attitude, then the Tories are a real option.
I've seen the body worn. I never judge incidents unless I was there or have heard people who were.
But I'm going to judge this.
This is a serious breach of at least three established operational protocols. Basic day one training school stuff.
It's sloppiness, pure and simple.
And we cannot allow constant Whitehall fear of race riots/ bread riots/ vape riots/ riots to stop us ventilating issues that are talking points amongst the public
This is where the lanyard class get it so wrong. These are genuine concerns. This combination, Kevin and Kwasi, are particularly bad at minimising and drive middle ground peeps to a further right position…
