The next 65 days until the final deal is signed will be the greatest fight in the Israel lobby's history. They will stop at NOTHING to derail it. The closer it gets, the more unhinged they'll become
Perhaps the highest stakes 65 days in modern history
Ex-CFTC chair Gary Gensler is spot on with his amicus brief against federally sanctioned prediction markets:
1) The structure, history, and purpose of federal commodity derivatives markets and laws have nothing to do with sports betting.
2) Congress did not include sports betting contracts within the statutory Dodd-Frank definition of swap.
3) Nobody involved in DF’s passage called for preempting states or their gaming commissions’ authorities over sports betting.
4) DF's “Special Rule,” by text and design, does not define sports bets as swaps.
5) The CFTC did not ask Congress for staffing or appropriations to regulate millions of sports betting transactions either when DF passed or after Murphy, and it lacks the experience to do so.
6) Congress does not make fundamental changes in the balance of state and federal power in isolated snippets of text. As the Court has said, Congress does not “hide elephants in mouseholes.”
37 attorneys general have signed onto a brief supporting Ohio’s right to enforce its state sports gaming and gambling laws.
I don't usually agree with Gensler but he's right that gambling is meant to be regulated in the states.
via @DustinGouker excellent newsletter on these issues.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 CEO Dario Amodei is reportedly awaiting official sign-off from the U.S. government before re-enabling Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for customers.
I’m shocked to see Americans & Palestinians rally behind Austin Franco left me for the wolves.Randy Fine & StopAntisemites got me fired from teaching college US Gov, because I defended Palestine. I lost my job, livelihood, health…everything. My family remains utterly devastated.
While reporting from Halhul today in the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers severely damaged our vehicle and those of several Palestinians, smashing windows & puncturing tires. Thankfully, no one was in the vehicles.
We won't be deterred from continuing to report on this story.
EXCLUSIVE: Cornell must offer Austin Franco due process for isolated incident according to own code of conduct.
Cornell’s office of civil rights received the report of Austin Franco’s single comment on the handshake platform and routed it as a bias incident. The university’s bias assessment processes and policy 6.4 procedures then apply, not automatic Title IX sexual misconduct rules, though both frameworks require notice, investigation, and an opportunity to respond before any sanction.
These steps exist to separate protected expression from genuine harassment or discrimination. A nineteen-year-old student’s blunt refusal of a job interview, however offensive, remains one isolated statement made off campus through a university resource. Cornell’s own code of conduct and expressive activity policy limit discipline to conduct that substantially disrupts the educational mission or creates a hostile environment after proper review.
Expulsion represents the most extreme penalty and is rarely imposed for first offenses involving speech alone. Past campus reviews and current practice favor progressive responses such as mandatory education on bias, reflective assignments, or probation when no pattern of repeated conduct or direct targeting exists. Such measures align with the university’s stated commitment to both accountability and student development.
Due process under Cornell’s published rules protects everyone. It prevents mob pressure or viral outrage from dictating outcomes and ensures sanctions match the actual violation rather than external demands. For an early-career student in the school of industrial and labor relations, an educational resolution better serves the institution’s mission than permanent expulsion.
Gabe runs an identity verification company and likes to side quest by doxxing 19 year olds and sicking Jewish billionaires on him to ruin his life.
But don’t worry, you can trust him with your personal information.
Not even 24 hours since the ceasefire deal was signed.
And Ben-Gvir is already demanding:
'We must continue destroying houses in southern Lebanon. Continue pushing residents away. Continue eliminating Hezbollah'
The Amazon report on Fable showed that the “jailbreak” was to “dig up bugs”.
Given that bugs can be used for exploits, the link was that they could supposedly help with cyberattacks.
This “jailbreak” is incredibly narrow and reproducible on other LLMs in the market.
What’s more, Fable's guardrails still blocked the dangerous step.
In my view, given the information I’ve seen so far about the report, it seems like a targeted attack.
This is strange, considering Amazon is one of Anthropic’s biggest investors and supplies them with chips for data centres.
Why didn’t Amazon go to Anthropic first?
From Goldman's Delta-1 head, Rich Privorotski:
"A panel of Gemini 3 Flash, Kimi K2.6 and DeepSeek V4 Pro, fused together, beat solo GPT-5.5 and solo Opus 4.8 outright, while landing within 1% of Fable 5 at roughly half the cost.” (Openrouter -X ) If true, this is exactly the direction of travel the market has been underestimating. The race for intelligence increasingly feels as though it is shifting from a handful of labs toward model orchestration and open-source ecosystems. That is simultaneously bullish and bearish. Bullish because lower costs and broader access should ultimately drive more token consumption and more compute demand. Bearish because it accelerates token deflation and raises questions around the durability of model economics. The trillion dollar question remains whether lower intelligence costs ultimately create more demand than they destroy pricing power."
1: Judaism is Not Zionism!
2: Israel is not the state of the Jewish people!
3: Israel does not represent the Jews, and does not speak in their name!
4: Jews are not responsible for the actions of the State of Israel!
"The Jewish people have no state!
They could call themselves Herzlston, or whatever they want, but they are not "Israel" and they are not the "State of the Jews"!
The State of Israel does not represent world Jewry!
