Now we know why Boris Johnson's Prime Ministerial swansong was an exhortation to "go #nuclear and go large". Plain self interest. Surely there must be consequences for his failure to declare he met his new associate's #uranium company as PM?

The Beeb writes: "#Sellafield is filling up - and experts say we have no choice but to find somewhere new to keep this [#nuclearwaste] safe."
But we DO have a choice not to make any more

No, I do not think the post-war confessional of Martin Niemöller about the silent complicity of the German intelligentsia and clergy in the Nazi rise to power is pertinent to a Smoking Bill that was in your manifesto and ours to tackle one of the biggest killers.
Get a grip.
First they came for the weapons grade imbeciles who, unbelievably, compared an actual Holocaust to the idea of stopping people from smoking in pub gardens.
And I did not speak out.
Because there are literally no words to describe the utter awfulness of these hideous people…
Apparently Reform leader @Nigel_Farage believes two thirds of Brits would back joining Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the European Convention on Human Rights.
If you think he’s talking boll**** RT this to let him know

"Swimmers told to avoid these 19 beaches in England considered no longer safe amid diarrhoea and sickness warning."
I still find it utterly shocking, it's 2024, a G7 member state & people are being told to stay away from the beach.
What's wrong with us?

I've been trying to make sense of the reasoning of the JCVI in its decisions about the Autumn 2024 covid vaccination offer.
(JCVI's the UK authority who recommend who to offer vaccinations to).

Even in the tranquil waters of the Tavy, Dartmoor, @AlistairBoxall found a toxic mess of pharmaceuticals. An increasing body of research suggests meds in waterways have similar effects on wildlife to humans, when tiny creatures swim in them their whole lives.
We need to rewild 30% of the planet to restore nature & protect our wildlife, but Britain is falling behind. So I've signed this new petition calling on one of our biggest landowners - the Church of England - to rewild it's land. Join me? https://t.co/XmHspf9OAp via @38degrees
ℹ️ | We are seeing lots of videos being shared online that were filmed at previous protests or during previous incidents.
There has been no disorder in London this weekend and the videos are likely being shared to mislead or to fuel tension.
No, not 💯 Elon. In the U.K. they’re not going round ‘finding people who’ve said something they disagree with and putting them in a f—king cage.’ Some people are being charged for inciting racial hatred and for organising acts of violence. It’s very specific, and it’s the law in most democracies including the US. For example, one person has pleaded guilty today to inciting an attack on a hotel housing asylum seekers: an attack which then took place. Another hotel was set on fire, with people still inside. Freedom carries responsibility: and freedom of speech carries with it the responsibility of each of us to use our words wisely and to be aware of the damage misinformation can cause. To be clear, criminal violence directed towards various communities in the U.K. was perpetrated as a result of malicious and specifically targeted misinformation online. And it’s a relief no-one was killed. Words matter. And yet here you are, running a huge information network, and all you can do is post 💯 over something you choose not to verify for accuracy, not alert people to it’s highly damaging nature. In fact, because of who you are, your 💯 gives it a stamp of approval in the eyes of those who seek validation for their actions. What we say and do has real consequences. That’s because we’re not in a matrix, we’re in real life, and sticking 💯 on a lie doesn’t turn it into truth.
I was critical of @UKLabour lack of focus on Nature during the election campaign..we simply can't survive without our life support systems. Defra has a tough balancing act but by stopping the decline and respecting Nature we benefit from Millions of pounds worth of free services, clean water, fresh air and food security and I like what I am hearing from @SteveReedMP..take a listen👇
No, Goddamnit, WashPost, it's not on her. It's on him and you. She faces nothing but racism and misogyny. You, as editors, face the test of how you will deal with that. You fail.
Which side are you on? Add your name to the petition calling on the UK government to ban the use of pesticides on the streets, parks and playgrounds of our villages, towns and cities. https://t.co/LBkG4pYtvl #GoPesticideFree
People moaning on here about the new plastic bottle tops (that are connected to the bottle) being woke or forced on them by the EU are big entitled idiot babies.
Here's why it matters:
