The Yankees have the potential to get to the World Series next season. The American League is the weakest it has been in many years.”Complete Devotion To Analytics”has not helped. The Yanks need another top catcher & a good righty bat.Keep team together! They are close!

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

Yankee fans love to blame manager Aaron Boone and GM Brian Cashman for not winning the World Series every year. The Yankees played in the playoffs without 1 of the best players in baseball,Aaron Judge, and slugger https://t.co/zbDMNmHjub luck for Yanks. Be realistic!

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

I am a NY Yankees fan but I have to be happy for the Cleveland Indians getting to the American League Championship Series vs the Rays. Cleveland Indians have the lowest payroll on any Major League Team on their 40 man roster! Wow! Good For Them.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Chris Spatola. He was an Army veteran and a talented basketball analyst. He was always very prepared and passionate about the games he did on television.I only met him a few times but he was class all the way. RIP.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

What was the Yankees record vs the Tampa Bay Rays this season?

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

I am very fortunate to be the Master of Ceremonies for the Joe Lapchick Character Award Foundation Luncheon at the NYAC. We are honoring Mike Brey from Notre Dame,James Jones,Yale,Lisa Bluder Woman’s Coach of Iowa with Caitlin Clark & Sports Studio Host Ernie Johnson. Fun Day!

RIP Charlie Kasper,a Captain in the NYC fire department who died on 9/11/01. On his day off he got a fire truck and drove to Ground Zero. He ran into a burning building & it collapsed minutes later.A real hero and a terrific talented person. Very Sad.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

I played high school basketball with Charlie Kasper at Brooklyn Prep many years ago. Charlie was a tremendous player and very intelligent. He became a Captain in NYC fire department. He sadly passed on 9/11/01 on the terrorist attacks when,on his day off,ran into a bludg. to help.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

This is a special day in our country. We lost almost 3,000. Americans in the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01. One of them was Charlie Kasper,a fireman who had the day off on 9/11/01. He drove to Ground Zero and ran into the building and it collapsed. A hero & Capt. in fire dept

It was a great Cape Cod Baseball Season. Harwich beat Bourne, the Defending Champion,in the final playoff game (4-2), to win the Championship. There were over 2,500 fans at this game. The players were from great baseball universities all over the country. Fun!

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

It is an unbelievable Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs & the OkC Thunder. Both teams are Winners. The Spurs are a very young team and they had an awesome win on the road vs the Defending Champion Thunder. The Spurs vs Knicks- Great Finals.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

Alex Del Barrio is a great P x P Man and I support all his political endeavors. He is a big Spurs fan and I am sure he wants no part on my NY Knicks. When I was a college basketball Coach,I used my timeouts too frequently. I wanted to stop the bleeding quickly.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

It should be an awesome playoff series in the NBA between the San Antonio Spurs and the OKC Thunder. The Spurs are up (1-0) so far. The Spurs are up (5-1) counting the regular season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an off- night for OKC but still had 24pts.Alex Caruso had 31pts OKC.

@BluffCityFriar

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

The San Antonio Spurs beat the OKC Thunder (122-115) in 2 Overtimes in the 1st game of the Western Conference Finals.Big man,Victor Wembanyama, had 41 pts. & 24 Rebs. & shot 56 percent from the field for the Spurs.Alex Caruso had 31 pts. for OKC.The Spurs are (5-1) vs OKC. season.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

Victor Wembanyama,7ft 4in Center for the San Antonio Spurs, has a chance to be arguably the Best Big Man To Ever Play The Game Of Basketball. That is a big statement. He is only 22 years old. He had 39 pts.,15 rebs, and 5 blocks last night vs the Minn.Timberwolves.Great Future!

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

The 76ers could win Game 6 in their playoff series vs the Celtics but I doubt it. The Celtics were an embarrassment in Game 5 in this playoff series. They are a much better team than the 76ers but anything can happen.. Celtics end this series in Philadelphia.

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

That was unbelievable! The Knicks are up (30-15) with 10 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter! Bring on the Celtics in the next round. It should be a great series! Go Knicks!

Steve Fisher was the Head Coach of Michigan in 1989 when the Wolverines last won the men’s NCAA Basketball title. The 1st game in the NCAA Tournament was his 1st game as Michigan’s Head Coach because Biil Freider was going to Arizona State to be their Head Coach.Great Job-Fisher!

[Pete Gillen @Gillenhoops]

When Michigan last won the NCAA Title in 1989,the Wolverines played our Xavier team in the NCAA first round. We were up 1 point with about (3:55) to go in the game.I started coaching intently and we lost (92-87).Michigan played better in tourney & won the NCAA Title.Great school.
