The gaslighting was arguably the worst part of COVID. It turned neighbor against neighbor. It made otherwise rational people feel crazy. It required an entire society to go along with a vast karaoke theater performance or else face social exclusion and legal sanction. It broke our trust in institutions. Children stood helplessly outside hospitals as their parents died alone.
And now it turns out that the people at the top and their criminal mouthpieces knew the entire time that it was all a lie.
Thats the society we are living in.
They knowingly poisoned pregnant women & their babies. These people are the modern day Nazi doctors experimenting on humans without their consent & lying to everyone about it.
They should be at The Hague.
History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
During the Biden administration, H-1B visa holders were buying houses with 97-100% financing. 97% would come from the FHA, with the rest coming from state first-time home buyer programs.
Zero money down. Thanks to programs that were supposed to be helping low-income American families buy their own homes.
FHA loans to non-permanent residents quickly grew to represent 6% of mortgage issuances. The percentage was undoubtedly higher in places like the DFW area, where H-1B visa holders are disproportionately concentrated.
I don’t have anything against people in America on H-1B visas. I’ve said it before—and I’ll say it again—that I’ve found many of them to be great people on an individual level, and I wish them all nothing but the best. Individual immigrants—especially those here legally—are not at fault for flawed US immigration policy.
But this might be the most radicalizing thing I’ve ever seen. Not only are American workers forced to compete for jobs, they’re also forced to compete in the housing market against people bringing 0-3% of a house’s cost to the closing table, versus the 10-20% most people have to pay.
First, companies import mass numbers of H-1B visa holders, largely in "back office" white-collar fields like IT and accounting. This essentially imposes a lower ceiling on domestic wages in these job categories.
Next, these workers—who are generally concentrated in certain geographic areas—create more demand for housing (especially in good school districts), driving up home prices and the cost of living.
Then, to top it off, they don’t even have to save up money for a down payment. They can close on a $500k house with $0-15k plus a 97% FHA loan. Meanwhile, ordinary American families are forced to come to with $50-100k for the same down payment.
I don’t care how you feel about Trump or what your preferred immigration policies are; there’s no defending this. It screws over hard-working American citizens several different ways over, and it’s yet another reason why I will always be glad Trump won and Kamala Harris lost in 2024.
The only reason I got into medical school is because I'm in the top bracket, and even then it was nearly impossible.
You wonder how COVID happened? Why doctors don't know basic biology? That boys are now girls and vaccines are forced?
Simple. You take the dumbest, most desperate, high ego low IQ subset of the population and tell them they are smart and give them power. Easy to control, too stupid to think, and cowards at heart.
New England mastered the art of gerrymandering years ago
The 6 states are 40% Red
They have 33 seats between them
So they have 13 Republicans, right?
Wrong. They have 1.
This is modern day taxation without representation coming full circle to the birthplace of the Revolution
It’s probably in poor taste to say too much specifically about Justice KBJ.
Her comments really speak for themselves.
But it remains true that DEI systematically elevated a large number of deeply unqualified and unserious people to roles where they are now doing tremendous damage, partly due to sheer incompetence, partly due to the sorts of ideological factors associated with being a DEI beneficiary.
The question of how we navigate unwinding this in the years ahead remains open.
Bernie Sanders in 2015: "Open borders? … That's a right-wing proposal which says essentially there is no US. It would make everybody in America poorer… What rightwing people in this country would love is an open-border policy… I don't believe in that."
@kinetic_finance Get fucked! 🙄 BTC allowed me to escaped the rat race at 47. More quality time with family. More helpful around the house. Cook and eat dinner every night with family. Enjoy more hobbies with friends. Life is great! I can always go back to the salt mines
The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of the worst days of my life. Not because I lacked compassion for the uninsured, but because I watched a nation founded on individual rights applaud as its government seized control of the most intimate decisions a human being can make about his own body and his own life. Thanks to his so called Affordable Care Act I now pay approximately $29,000/year for myself and my wife's yearly insurance premiums.
Obama calls it his "proudest moment." Of course he does. Every collectivist in history has been proudest on the day he fastened the chains. The ACA did not give anyone "access to healthcare." It forced every American to purchase a product under penalty of law, compelled doctors to practice under government dictation, and conscripted the productive to finance the consumption of others. That is not compassion. It is naked compulsion.
"Pre-existing conditions" became the moral shield behind which the entire edifice was built. No one dared question it because no one dared say what Rand would have said: you do not have a right to the labor of another human being. Not to his mind. Not to his skill. Not to his time. No matter how sick you are. Need is not a claim. Suffering is not a mortgage on the lives of those who can help.
This was not progress. It was surrender.
Democrats will force as much pain on Americans as it takes to protect the millions of foreign invaders that they resettled into our country.
Ensuring that illegal aliens can vote in our elections and be counted in the next census is more important to them than representing you.
