Absolutely thrilled to have accepted the DOT position at @PPARocdsb this school year. This is a full circle moment as I myself attended Pleasant Park from JK-Grade 6 ๐
I still canโt believe how lucky I am to have known this incredible group of Grade 3s for the past two months. They have helped me grow as a teacher and we have shared many, many laughs together. I am eternally grateful for my first LTO opportunity with @OCVElementary ๐
Can you believe that there are only 26 school days left until the summer holiday?? ๐ฑ
Today, my Grade 3 students from @OCVElementary and I celebrated Animal & Art Day as we begin our ABC Countdown to summer!
On this Fun Friday, the Grade 3s took a virtual field trip to @WonderlandNews and rode TWENTY rides! Everyone kept their breakfast down, although some studentsโ minds were โgoing to explode!โ ๐คฏ๐ข @OCVElementary
And thatโs a wrap on my Bachelor of Education ๐ I never thought that Iโd be finishing off my last day of practicum @AvalonPSchool saying goodbye to my students virtually. These past two years have been nothing short of crazy, but here we are, more adaptable than ever.
We could not be more proud of our 2nd yrs who we say goodbye to this week! Tears at early photos of hugs and close bent heads working together - ending with virtual communities just as strong. Oh the places you'll go-and the CSH you'll bring!! @IA4LProject @uOttawaEdu
A belated tweet of the stellar activity stations from Y2s last week. Snowshoes for toys, upcycled bird feeders, fitness bingo & science trivia. I can't wait to see this week's line up! @CSHUOttawa@uOttawaEdu
Heart burst of the day:
After teaching a fraction lesson using Smarties, a Grade 5 student at @AvalonPSchool says to me: โIn all my years at school, that was the BEST and TASTIEST math lesson ever.โ
Next Wednesday, February 24th, is #PinkShirtDay. Let's wear pink and stand together against bullying in schools, in the workplace, and online. Learn more: https://t.co/C8TFduARCk #BeKind#LiftEachOtherUp
My Grade 2/3 students @AvalonPSchool LOVE doing Readerโs Theatre. Yesterday they performed a few fractured fairy tale scripts in front of their peers.
My Grade 4/5 students at @AvalonPSchool were stunned when I handed them an activity with no instructions. But sure enough, it sparked rich discussion and they worked collaboratively all the way through!
