Third: We classify marijuana at the same level as heroin – and more serious than fentanyl. It makes no sense. I’m asking @SecBecerra and the Attorney General to initiate the process of reviewing how marijuana is scheduled under federal law.
Second: I’m calling on governors to pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses. Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely for possessing marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.
First: I’m pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. There are thousands of people who were previously convicted of simple possession who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result. My pardon will remove this burden.
@mkraju@TheLeadCNN I’m pretty uncomfortable with the language @mkraju used in relation to #abortion. Phrases like “child they conceived together” in regard to someone’s abortion are inappropriate and feeds the ‘abortions are murder narrative’.
Any anyone else as uncomfortable as I am with @NBCSports@NBCNews coverage of @MikaelaShiffrin? Talking about someone being #underamicroscope and suffering while shoving cameras in their face is pretty heinous.
We’re pro-abortion just like we’re pro-adoption and pro-parenthood. Anti-abortion lawmakers WANT us to tiptoe around the word ‘abortion’ because it gives them power in this narrative. We’re not handing it to them.
We are unapologetically pro-abortion.
(Real quick, abortion isn't always a "tough choice" or "heartbreaking" and that framing is so weird. Sometimes it's a miracle and a no-brainer and a straightforward healthcare decision for everyone involved. Abortion is healthcare and a human right.)
