I state this periodically, to remind those not paying attention or who struggle with concepts: the Republicans are also irredeemable trash and will not solve a single meaningful problem, including Palestine.

I focus my criticism on the Dems because:

• The Dems are currently committing genocide

• The Dems are framing themselves as the solution when they are a big part of the problem (the Republicans do this also, but are less believed)

• Destroying this illusion that the Dems are the ‘good guys’ or that they care about equality or human rights or democracy allows for an open conversation about meaningful change

• The Dems deserve to lose, badly, because of the first point

• We need to get as many people who want change to vote for third party to help the Greens get public funding — that’s a lot of regular old Democrat voters

Breaking the duopoly is priority number 1, and breaking the illusion the Dems are helpful in any way and subsequently destroying their monopoly on virtue (in their case fake virtue) is the first step in this journey

All of that said, I do not believe anything meaningful will change irrespective of who wins. This is a long-term project that has to begin somewhere, and it begins by organising around a third party that takes enough of a vote share to be more widely seen as credible in the future.

We simply have to start somewhere. The best time to start a political movement was 20 years ago. The second best time is today.
