@JoyceCarolOates This was such a compelling extract. Unbelievable, but also so relatable. The parents were unknowingly so cruel. If the experience was proposed as a punishment for criminals it would be slated as being inhumane! It’s amazing that she got through it really.
@StephenMerchant@thetimes Portal 2 was (still is) a brilliant game! My husband and I both loved it as, even though it was a one-person game, we could solve the puzzles together. It was enjoyable to watch as well as play. We would love to see a Portal 3!
@gray The cost will depend on the quality of the garage as is. If it is in a bad state, then flattening it and getting something pre-fab to go in it’s place would be a good idea. If it is still in good shape, then you could probably fit it out for less than £10k.
Hey @DunelmUK, bought this set of plates just before Christmas and one is already broken. All I did was pick it up off the counter! I’m sure ‘dishwasher safe stoneware’ is meant to last longer than 6 weeks.
@PamelaSVincent@BritishBakeOff My husband and I play a game where we pick our finalists and winner at the very beginning of episode one and I called it for Syabira this year. She did so well!
I will #BoycottImACeleb this year due to Matt Hancock’s inclusion in the line up. MPs are not celebrities, they are public servants who should be representing their constituents. He should be thinking about them and not the money he will surely be making from the show.
I can’t think of a better way to honour the Queen and ‘Britishness’ than having a 10 mile long queue that is live streamed. Hope it stays dry! Although, that would cap it all off, I suppose.
I don’t consider myself to be a royalist, but I am saddened by the death of the Queen today. Having reigned for so long and with such strength, she seemed to be almost immortal. Her impact on our lives will continue to be felt for years to come. Rest in power, your majesty.
