Pearl has headed off on home trial and she already looks so relaxed there. Unrecognisable from the first skinny photo we were sent of her.
Pearl’s foster family have done an amazing job and we can’t thank them enough for giving her a loving and quiet environment in which to recover. They have invested time training her and teaching her about life in a home.
She has come on so well and is already quite fond the sofa on her home trial. Her trial mum describes her as a very happy girl 💜
#Jack's lovely owner thought when he went into hospital, he was going home to him eventually. But he has been told he has to go into a nursing home. Jack is home alone waiting for him. It was always the two of them. A neighbour is feeding him.Time is running out,pls share x
Veer’s progress with us at the Elephant Hospital Campus (EHC), has been steady and encouraging.
He is responding well to his ongoing treatments, including regular foot care, pedicures, and laser therapy to ease discomfort in his right forelimb. As part of his daily routine, he has also begun target training, a positive, trust-based method that helps him comfortably participate in his medical care.
His diet plays a key role in supporting his recovery. Veer is being provided with a variety of nutritious foods such as pumpkin, watermelon, barseem, sugarcane, and daily fodder. Recently, we’ve also discovered a clear favourite, he has taken quite a liking to jaggery.
Once forced to walk long hours on hard concrete, carry heavy loads, and endure constant discomfort with his bent front limb, Veer is now experiencing consistent care, proper nutrition, and the space to heal. Veer is slowly discovering a life that feels a little more his own. Thank you for all the support you’ve shown him, it’s because of you that everything has been possible.
UPDATE: YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS SHIT UP! I Know we only have one visitor a day to page, but if you can please share 🙏
Leo Oncologist/Cardiologist $1954.29 (March 16/March 24). An additional $1500 was spent BECAUSE on March 16 Leo went in for simple bloodwork. The Oncologist called with great concern that he lost 2lbs since his last full cancer diagnostics on Feb 2, so again in the span of 5 weeks another ultrasound had to be performed as it was suspected the weight loss was from his cancer spreading. The cancer was found to be stable, but as before he had inflammation in his GI Tract. Leo had an Echocardiogram on Feb 6 because of an enlarged heart. Given the 2lb weight loss he cannot have long lasting steroids which would help with the inflammation. So, it was recommended to consult with a Cardiologist to see if he could receive a low level steroid without putting him at a great risk for heart failure. So again, another Echocardiogram done. I checked out, left, and looked at the paperwork WHICH DID NOT REFLECT THE 2LB WEIGHT LOSS. So, I went back and said this cannot be right. He did not put back the 2lbs in the span of 8 days and little appetite. They weighed him again on 2 different scales. Yep he weighted the same as Feb 2. Then on the way home I stopped at another vet to get him weighed a third time. Yep same as Feb 2. SO HE NEVER LOST 2LBS, DID NOT NEED THE ADDITIONAL UTLRASOUND OR TO SEE THE CARDIOLOGIST AND A 5 HR ORDEAL BECAUSE THE RECEPTIONIST FORGOT TO CHECK US IN TOTALING $1500. I contacted the Oncologist RESPONSE- Great thanks for letting us know we will make sure our scales are calibrated!
If you can free retweet for help that is all I can ask.

It's infuriating! Of all the things we have to be vigilant about and advocate for our fur babies at the vet, now it's weigh scales being correct?
🙀😡
Two pounds is a huge concern in a cat, especially in expensive cancer care...that leads to MORE expensive, unecessary cost prohibitive tests. Add in the emotional toll of worry that something is terribly wrong. 😮💨
Look at this adult dappled Robin!! At first I thought he’d lost feathers but no….it’s definitely white feathers that are causing the dappling. A quick Google tells me it’s likely leucism (genetic) and affects about 1:30000 Robins. Awww!! ❤️❤️❤️
