George Butterworth's 'Six Songs from A Shropshire Lad' is one of my favourite cycles for the baritone repertoire. Here's a recording of 'The Lads in their Hundreds', made with @PhilipRobinso18. Thanks to the splendid @FS_RecordsUK for sound and video.

@edudissenter This is at best a highly idealised vision of what GCSEs do and how they are assessed. For one thing they aren't standardised, for another they aren't exit exams, and at best they tell us how well a student mastered the specific techniques of each specification.
Something about LLM hype culture renders a man immune to the experience of embarrassment. If I couldn’t tell the difference between PhD-level scholarship and grammatical gibberish I simply would not announce that to a global audience.
And you can pry my em dash from my cold, dead hands, bitch. I will never stop using it. You're all telling on yourselves when you say you've never encountered it prior to AI. It's all over the place.
In the ongoing political pothole wars in Nottinghamshire
Reform UK now blame the state of the county’s roads on the last Tory Administration at County Hall
From 2021 - 2024 - The Leader of Notts CC was Reform UK’s now Head of Local Govt Delivery (and ex Tory) Ben Bradley
Reform UK’s @RobertJenrick is campaigning against the poor work of Nottinghamshire Council.
Has anyone told him Nottinghamshire Council is Reform UK-run?
The reason our identity as a Christian country is being eroded is far more a product of atheists like Charlotte than anything else. The Christian faith is not just a culture war costume for you to wear. If you want us to be a Christian country, turn to Christ and go to church
@DavidW4691@RoryMaw@RupertMyers Precisely. One side, though, chose to believe a tale of "sunlit uplands" without ever questioning if or how we could ever get there.
@DavidW4691@RoryMaw@RupertMyers One side knew what the status quo was. The other imagined a possible future but with no concrete means of getting there.
@RoryMaw@RupertMyers Remain voters knew exactly how things worked, with all the pros and cons. Leave voters were just hoping for the best with no idea at all of how we were going to get there.
