@kiwialliance@MikeMatakatia@katieabradford The gov boasting that scrapping fees free is going to improve funding for apprenticeships.. doubling the number of trades places.. still a bit of lead time to replace the tradies that have headed OS due to all the projects being cancelled
How much sunk cost in cancelled ferries, cancelled social housing builds, cancelled school refurbs, cancelled light rail, reduced scope hospital builds and many other cancelled Gov projects has this government written off?
@gingereejit@MikeMatakatia@katieabradford Also Govt start/stop on apprenticeships means we now have gaps in the numbers of people trained whenever we need them, and not just for big infrastructure but those specialising in home appliances or maintenance. Take it all away from politicians and create an independent agency.
@TuiMark8@stefanolson A marginally less harmful option based on the known carcinogenic effect of smoking tobacco. The long term health effects of vaping are still not fully known, and you still end up addicted to nicotine with HTP vaping products
How much sunk cost in cancelled ferries, cancelled social housing builds, cancelled school refurbs, cancelled light rail, reduced scope hospital builds and many other cancelled Gov projects has this government written off?

banning a news outlet from Parliament for taking a photo would be outrageous even if it was taken in a 'banned' area
but this photo was taken on the black & white tiles where media can operate
Sure, it's looking outside that area, but media have always taken photos like that eg
NZ Press Gallery stands up to despotic government at last:
"If any MP has concerns about the editorial content of a story, that should be dealt with through the usual channels for complaints, rather than by seeking to curtail our access to Parliament."

Fresh from punishing @MaikiSherman for pursuing National Party's contradictory statements on the Luxon leadership coup, National pivots
National wants Stuff banned from Parliament for this photo in their report on Louise Upston's $52K tax free benefit for living in her own place
@StopForumSpam@Being_Kara@FlyAirNZ The liquid bans didnt come in until after the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot, where liquid explosives were disguised in soft drink containers.
Hence my point about being hard to bomb a plane with a 6cm blade (but could hide liquid explosives in a hand cream bottle)
@NZNationalParty Is making those is social housing pay a higher proportion of their income in rent "helping kiwis with the cost of living crisis"
How about introducing means testing of benefits for 18 & 19 yos.
Millionaire pensioners can get an increase in super, but screw the kids eh?!
"Can you tell us when and how exactly you learnt about this decision [to ban you from the UK]?"
@cenkuygur: "... the Times piece came out saying that I'd been banned basically for criticising Israel which I thought was curious because I wasn't going to Israel"
Everyone’s second team at Mexico 86 became Denmark.
The iconic kit, the classy players, and their style of play were a joy to watch.
Their opening match of the tournament was against Scotland on 04/06/86.
Elkjær scored the only goal in the 58th minute after another typically flowing Danish move.
Scotland, for their part, were also wearing an all-time great kit!
