Talk to me - This is well acted and plotted for a lower budget film. Its a different take on a well worn theme of contacting the afterlife. Some visceral brutal moments & carnage, covering themes of loss, death, family. the ending is stolen from the other side of the door - 5.5

Turtles Mutant Mayhem - The best thing about the film is the animation which is superb + really stands out. the 2nd being the use of lesser know villains which steal the show. The story is enjoyable & keeps your attention given the ok plot + decent action and humour thoughout - 5

Oppenheimer - This is worth seeing for the History of the man and the bomb, its more an education of this period. The film wasnt suspensful or thrilling for me, nor did it include much on the afterthoughts of having dropped and used the bombs. Youd watch once but not again - 5.5

Elemental - The animation is superb as always with pixar, the story is engaging and enjoyable. A great family film, no villain per such, as more concerned with people fitting in, getting to know each other * being more tolerant of others and other cultures. A great date movie - 7

Dead Reckoning Part 1 - You get what you come for. Again this is a good and enjoyable movie but falls short of the last 2. The action and stunts are the standouts but doesnt surpass previous ones & is too clever. Great cast work, hayley atwell steals it as gets most to do - 6.5

Ruby Gillman - This is a family film anyone can enjoy. The animation is great, along with the main character + her story. one twist is very predictable, the other not with the ending slightly rushed. Deserves a sequel as more world to explore A very good dreamworks addition - 6

Insidious Red Door - This is a slow burner, with not much happening early on. It isnt scary or even thrilling, with 1 good jump scare being it. The acting and prodution is good but story adds nothing or brings anything to warrant it. very poor considering the previous ones - 4

No Hard Feelings - This was better than i expected it to be. Youll enjoy if youre a fan of J-law or want some R rated laughs as it does have some very funny and a few laugh out moments. Has heart in the right places though predicable where it end up the path to it is fun - 5.5

Dial of Destiny - This is worth watching and enjoyable, giving you what youd want and expect from an indy film though nothing new or different emough. it just doesnt have the magic the original trilogy has, missing that something special. salah and marion wasted in cameos - 6

Flash - this is an enjoyable and fun movie. The story is good, All the main actors excel in their roles, bringing their A game. The humour /action is blended well with the pathos of the story. the main cameos work though some fx is a bit ropey, bit overstuffed at the end - 6.5

Transformers Rise of the beasts - There is nothing really new here but this is one of the better transformers movies. The action is clear+good, should have been more of the beasts fighting showing different styles. good humour esp mirage, needed more arcee+ better final act - 6

Across the Spiderverse - the animation is amazing again! thats the best part! the story though has nothing original as most of plot is taken from other films. More character less action this time around with best at the beginning. You will enjoy it more so if liked the 1st - 6.5

The Bogeyman - this doesnt bring anything new to the table though the creature design is weirdly cool. the acting is very good. its a more of a slow build, suspense with odd jump scares building to the climax andconclusion. worth a watch for horror / stephen king fans - 5

Hypnotic - The Premise is interesting though the execution could have been better. Affleck lets this down as doesnt look interested/wants to be there while rest of cast are great. Some nice twists/turns along the way, the story keeping you interested to see how will play out - 5

Fast X - Or as i call it the later sequels the Ridiculous and the Preposterous. With this cast the films should be much better but its so beyond far fetched. If you like dumb plotting/story but some good/great action scenes youll enjoy this or switch brain off - 4 (5.5 for fans)

Guardians Galaxy Vol 3 - This is a much darker and sombre film. the highlights being rockets backstory, most of the humor (much less this time around) and 1 excellent action scene. i feel this is a comedown from the 1st two but great characters. worth the ride! expected more = 7

Big George Forman - if you like boxing or want to know more about George then this is for you. you cant tell a whole life in a movie, but it shows a lot of his story and history, including major and minor events. The only poor part is some of the boxing is a bit lacklustre = 6

Evil Dead Rises - You get what you come for. The acting is very good, its limited mainly to 1 room + passageway but makes the most of them. creepy, lots of blood, suspenseful. It has been done before, but worth a watch and horror fans will get something alongside easter eggs = 6

How to blow up a pipeline - This is a very interesting film that has 2 things going for it, getting to know the characters/players and the plot itself. It is tense in places, a few unseen twists and well worth a watch. maybe better seen the less you know & does end abruptly = 6

Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan - This story is well known but i really enjoyed this film & more so as id not watched this story in a long time. Good story which gets through a lot, very well acted + some great action/set pieces. nice to see it in original French language = 6.5
