@TILBUJ@nat01__ The cover up with a long sleeve shirt was 7 days after he broke out in spots. Initially I refused to take him to the doctors and offered to send him to school. That wasn’t ok because “he will infect the other kids with chicken pox”.
@TILBUJ@nat01__ Education, but the way they push attendance is insane. My son had chicken pox, and still had pustules. They told me to cover them up with a long sleeve shirt under his polo shirt. They also wanted a doctor to confirm it was chicken pox before they would authorise the absense
@millywitch This is ridiculous. My Nan managed to get a boiler because she had certain benefits. All I had to do was submit the relevant paperwork to prove her benefits to her letting agency. Never have I had to submit a “vulnerability”?photo.
@SandyofSuffolk And you would have to assume all the appliance didn’t break and there were no emergencies. Add Legal Executive training and she’s £166 in deficit every month. The numbers still don’t add up
@SandyofSuffolk Even in Hull, where housing is much cheaper, a single mum working 52.5 hours a week would take home around £2,393 a month. After rent, childcare and basic living costs, she’d have just £102 left. Saving a £12,000 house deposit would take nearly 10 years.
That moment when you don’t have any painkillers for your adult child but give them 20ml of calpol 6 plus instead. Apparently they felt better almost straight away and had this warm glow of nostalgia…
So I’m in the disabled loo and I hear “is there only one disabled loo? I bet they don’t even need it!”. It was said quite crossly. I quickly finish up and open the door. Bloke in a wheelchair sees me, and my rollator and he’s now really nice to me! We shuffle past each other!
@higgyboson@journalismtips Can you get the housing department to write to you to confirm your son’s tenancy began on x date and ceased on x date due to his death. The property was surrendered on X date. Then send this to the council tax department.
@Empress_Brymex Could be a charger that wasn’t up to uk standards, and there was a power surge which got passed on to your phone and the battery popped. Luckily you have tiled floors, the phone was isolated from clutter and hopefully the electric circuit breaker tripped
