@Barclaycard Thanks for replying. They may have been flagged but how do I find out? The app didn’t show this and there was no option to verify through the app like MBNA do. I rang a 24hr number and was on hold for ages. Painful. Why not sort this through the secure app?

@bsteveb I don't know for sure, I read that it didn't, so I went through with the script just in case. unliking stuff, hiding stuff and deleting stuff. didn't want to delete account and have orphan data, belt and braces.

took a few pass throughs, mainly I think because of the Facebook API, but I cleaned up my and Lau's activity logs before deleting. I was following an online "how to delete facebook" guide....

@bsteveb Already gone - I used a Chrome plugin to help me cleanse my activity log, there is one for Firefox too. It is not just about data mishandling for me, that was just the straw, it is more about the time gouge and narcissism that irritated me :) feels good to be free.
