When asked about the Justice Department’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization fund,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) says “we should get rid of this political slush fund.”
“The acting attorney general refused to say that they would disclose the names of all the people who received these taxpayer funds,” Van Hollen adds. “So let's be clear, this is a corrupt deal, and in the process, the president, of course, got a complete get out of jail free card with respect to any taxes that he has due…another corrupt part of this deal.”
Republican opposition to Trump’s $1.776 billion slush fund is continuing to grow.
Rep. Mike Flood of Nebraska publicly came out against the fund, saying: “I do not think one penny of any fund should ever go to any January 6 insurrectionist.”
Flood said taxpayers should not be funding people who committed violence against law enforcement.
Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick and Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi are now pushing bipartisan legislation to outlaw the fund entirely.
At the same time, three separate federal lawsuits are already challenging the fund in court.

@STFUabtChicago@Logically_JC Mitch McConnell stacked the Supreme Court so that the Supreme Court could give Mr trumP immunity from any crime he commits while in office. Only way to rope his Acton into the courts is filling civil actions against him and his thug family. He cannot be held on federal charges.
