@Carolin80951797 Confirmed on Holy Saturday night. The same night my grandson was born - after 10 miscarriages! Miracles all around!! All honor and glory to God! You are a blessing to all of us by your beautiful prayers. We are grateful. May God continue to bless you abundantly for your charity.
🛑 Stop and pray, right here, right now. 🪽 Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. 🙏🏻 Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us!
That eulogy was a victory for Christ, a victory over stereotypes of Christian and conservative women, a word for anyone listening who wants to have a good marriage, a word for men seeking purpose, an example of forgiveness, and a victory for her kids to see their Mama soar.
Charlie’s love & pride for his wife & kids was apparent to all. He sincerely wanted other young people to share his joy. He was also extremely protective of them. I witnessed his deep concern for their security at the FOX studio. I can’t stop thinking about his wife, Erika, who attends the same parish as my parents in Arizona. Erika is a devoted Roman Catholic who attended daily Mass with tiny kids - only the bravest of Christian moms attempt this. No wonder Charlie loved her. She will be leaning on her faith now more than ever, as she grapples with raising her children without her warrior husband.
This is all so unfair.
Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk 🙏
"Let us remain united to him, let us remain in his friendship, always, cultivating it through prayer, adoration, Eucharistic Communion, frequent Confession, and generous charity, following the examples of Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati and Blessed Carlo Acutis who will soon be declared saints.
Aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less. You will then see the light of the Gospel growing every day, in you and around you."
Forgive me my sins, O Lord, forgive me my sins; the sins of my youth, the sins of my age, the sins of my soul, the sins of my body; my idle sins, my serious voluntary sins; the sins I know, the sins I do not know; the sins I have concealed for so long, and which are now hidden from my memory. I am truly sorry for every sin, mortal, and venial for all the sins of my childhood up to the present hour. I know my sins have wounded your Sacred Heart, O my Saviour, let me be freed from the bonds of evil through your most bitter Passion, my Redeemer.
Amen.

I would remind all married couples that marriage is not an ideal but the measure of true love between a man and a woman: a love that is total, faithful and fruitful. This love makes you one flesh and enables you, in the image of God, to bestow the gift of life.

In this Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly, I greet all families, which are the small domestic churches in which the Gospel is received and passed on. May faith, hope, and charity always grow in our families.
Today’s world needs the marital covenant in order to know and welcome God’s love, and to overcome the forces that break down relationships and societies, through its unifying and reconciling power.
