#BREAKING: I’ve just announced a BOOST to our world-class gaming industry.
More jobs, more innovation, and more Kiwi-made games on the world stage! 🗺️🎮🇳🇿
The government has announced that 18/19 year olds, who live in a household where the parents earn $65,529 or more can't claim jobseekers. If both parents work 27 hours on the minimum wage - $634 a week - they will be expected to now financially support their adult offspring.
47,300 Kiwis have left for Australia to find work that should be available right here at home.
Labour will ensure everyone can build a future in NZ — with good jobs that pay enough to support you and your family.
Are they misleading the public? They claim the average salary for teachers with 10 years experience is about $140k. Teachers are telling me this isn’t true. Show us the evidence.
So according to Nicola Willis people concerned about rising unemployment are “glass half empty” and people who have lost their jobs “shouldn’t take it personally”. Could she be any more out of touch?!
It’s no coincidence that the construction sector lost 15,000 jobs right after the National Government canned 3,500 Kainga Ora builds. They have increased unemployment and homelessness at the same time.
My visit to Dave Letele’s Foodbank yesterday showed me one thing: that Kiwis and whānau are still struggling to make ends meet — and that under Christopher Luxon, life is getting harder.
Our priorities are clear: jobs, health, homes and real action on the cost-of-living.

"This government has had more success in crushing the rights of working women than it has ever had in crushing cars."- @ginnyandersen
#BREAKING: The National Government should be ashamed of themselves. They’re winding back years of pay equity progress at the expense of pay rises for women and hardworking Kiwis — our teachers, care and support workers.
Warmest congratulations to re-elected Australian PM Anthony Albanese. Australia is our closest friend and neighbour and the relationship between our two countries has been strengthened considerably under the Albanese government. My very best wishes to him and the Labor team.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Pope Francis. Throughout his papacy, he showed deep compassion and an unwavering commitment to social justice, inclusion, and the dignity of every person. His leadership challenged us all to build a fairer and more caring world.
First Mark Mitchel said meth was up 96% because dealers were dumping it down the toilet. He’s acknowledged he got that wrong, but now he says meth use has increased is due to inflation! What is clear is that this government has no plan to break the cycle of crime.
Methamphetamine use has more than doubled under this Government’s watch. The response from the Minister of Police is that it’s probably gangs dumping meth down the toilet.
This government is like a bad fairytale, except it’s true. And our community suffers for it.
