Something @edwinsifuna has said today has hit home so hard.

As we were being taken through a short tour in the historic museum inside Baba's home he recognised his uncle the late Lawrence Sifuna- who fought alongside James Orengo as part of the 7 Beaded sisters that were fighting for Multi Partism democracy!

Sifuna said this "Its so sad that we are still fighting for the same things generations down the road, things must change! This must be the last fight about democracy and rule of law we should have!"

And it has stuck with me as a reminder that this fight is beyond us all. Its a generational purpose to end the struggles of the generations before us. This generation must end the chains of bondage that keeps us fighting for the same things over and over again!

That God promises overcoming, it's the other side of the covenant. God said if you'll suffer for Him, then He promises that you'll overcome all your suffering. You doubt the validity of Judaism, but we have shared experiences between us, and they actually helped me to understand who I am and what happens around me. I sing Shira, and I only know that I do because they have a word for it and explain the purpose of it. You can't know what's real without having a lived experience, so knowledge is kind of a curse for you because it can't lead you anywhere. Me, I can relate, but I don't follow, so it doesn't lead me, but it strengthens me because I'm human, and we are created to be social, it's good to have something to relate to, someone to relate to, someone to give you understanding because no one else alive can. In this grok, I might have an advantage over you because I can know, my own lived experience serves as the validation and verification. That's a bright light you might never understand
